Why Alchemy?
The origins of alchemy come from the word to transform.
It was used in the medieval ages as the word for transmutation

and is often understood only as meaning changing base metals into silver or gold
instead of its deeper meaning; changing our base selves with all of our attachments and belief systems
into our highest selves: joyful enlightened beings.
All of us can experience moments of inner alchemy when we meditate, walk in nature, play, dance,
draw, chant, write, make music, take a conscious breath or do whatever brings us joy.
Many of us forget to give ourselves this time.
We think we are too busy.

I was one of those people.
I was very busy, stressed and frustrated
and had stopped the very leisure activities that brought
peace to my heart and health to my mind and body.
I became very ill.

Fortunately a friend who knew me well asked me about

my yoga practice (playtime) and encouraged me to get back to it.
Within a few months I was healthy again.

.

My lesson learned here was that I was and I am
100% responsible for my own inner
and outer well-being.
No one else.
Only me
It's a recurring lesson for most of us.

Fortunately there are some fairly simple
leisure activities
that can help us to alchemize ourselves
into the joyful beings we can be.

My passion is sharing them.
